Fübe means “grass” in Hungarian

Speech & language

Original Fube.com research, corrected for typos and unfinished notes. The findings are unchanged.

A public post contained “fübe.” The language is Hungarian. Google Translate renders the root as “grass.”

More precisely, “fű” is grass and “-be” is the case ending for “into.” “Fűbe” means “into the grass.” It is a near-spelling of Fube, not a use of the name.
